Finally i solve no-sound problem on dv running W7UL I have the exact same problem too with my dv This auddio in into V64 directory when you install sp I have an compaq laptop with windows 7 but I thought these steps could be useful for others as well. At this stage I have installed and uninstalled drivers of sorts so many times I don’t know where I’m at.

Didn’t find what you were looking for? There must have been a conflict somewhere so the Auto search option wasn’t finding it but ajdio did. I followed your instructions to try and fix it, but when I went to the device manager to find mulitmedia audio device, I couldn’t find it, it didn’t exist in any list.
