Hi, I have got quite an old motherboard and just bought an Antec P case. First of all, thank you for the reply. Sorry, but the picture I showed above was not actually of my motherboard, but has the exact same connection. Please could somebody tell me what each pin is for in the connection? They were not aimed at you specifically, but at all people who don’t read the forum rules. My newer Medion’s use a MS board and I have no problems. I listed as much as I know in my earlier post.

Just look at one of the newer motherboard manuals and the pin-out should be the same. It has akdio video but also has a 4X 1. It’s not going to work with the pin out front panel connectors on newer cases. Del, Will this work with my specs I listed.

I am in the USA, Ct. An old OEM board? It’s a bloody good mainboard. I only want the mic port to work on the front of the case, dont really care about the headphones.

Since the PEs can only support Northwood Core and not the Williamettes, it’ll be pretty risky for you to purchase it since your Medion system is bought more than 2 years old which has a very high chance of it being a Williamette CPU.

Unless you list out what you will be moving to a new board, it’s hard for anyone to give you more than “probably” type answers.

You mentioned hardware compatability. Md have taken some time to Google and there’s not a lot of info out there. I have got everything working apart from the front audio connections on the case as I cannot find which connections go to which pin on the connection on my motherboard.

Intel Architecture Day. Mabey I am just spinning my wheels, thats why I am hoping audil there can help. Danny and Del are right about the chipset that will support you CPU since you didn’t mentioned nor did we know that your Pentium 4 – 1.

I was hoping someone ,si be able to help me from experience. Please could somebody tell me what each pin is for in the connection? Win 7 Pro 64bit.

And does anybody know if I can do any damage by doing trial and error on the pins until it works?
